Description If you want to live to ride, you have to learn to ride-the right way. Dirtbike School is based on the official Motorcycle Safety Foundation course that has taught tens of thousands the basics of how to ride a dirt bike. Join Sal Masakela, host of the X Games, and a master instructor as they take you step-by-step into the world of two-wheeled, off-road freedom and show you everything you need to know-in a fun, music-driven, fast-paced style-to start your lifelong love affair of riding a dirt bike. As a special bonus, superstar riders including Ricky Carmichael, Chad Reed, and Kevin Windham share their own experiences and special riding and safety tips. This is a comprehensive course that covers picking the right-sized bike, safety gear, starting your bike, shifting, and braking, right up to throttle control, turning, traversing hills, and the basics of trail riding. If you're just starting out, this unique DVD is an absolute must! Beginners only January 6, 2009 John Wesley Parris (ringgold,Ga.) Halfway through the video, you finally get on the motorcycle. I can only reccommend this to someone who has never riden a motorcycle. If you already know how to ride a streetbike, this will be a waste of time. Another video, "Dual Sport Riding Techniques " is much more helpful if you are streetwise but dirtfoolish.
Preview of MSF Dirtbike School December 28, 2008 G. Wheeler (San Diego, CA United States) I gave it a 5 star rating as an inexpensive beginner'S DVD. My son, 11 years old at the time, watched it before going to the Dirtbike School. For relatively little money, it helped him feel more comfortable at the school and get more out of it. I recommend it for: -Kids learning to ride dirtbikes -Parents teaching kids to ride dirtbikes -Anyone learning to ride a motorcycle -Street bike riders thinking about riding in the dirt For someone who's been riding dirtbikes a while, Dirt Wise with Shane Watts is a better choice.
Safety First October 28, 2008 F. Couperus A Must for inexperienced riders or those who would benefit from a yearly refresher. Big benfit for my 11 year old son who is not near an MSF sanctioned facility. Safety first!!
VERY DETAILED. October 21, 2008 Alexandre Tavitian EXCELLENT, and very well explained. Very good introductory DVD. Good to watch it again & again.
Essential for beginners August 25, 2008 D. Morgan (East Texas) This is an essential DVD for beginners. Be aware that it is very, very basic - there is a huge emphasis on "beginners" in my opening sentence. The course is also very short.
