Amazon.com Product Description Essentially a scaled-down motocross bike with an electric motor, the Razor MX500 Dirt Rocket is ideal for teens who want to enjoy the dirt bike experience without breaking the bank. The Dirt Rocket's powerful 500-watt motor carries riders at speeds of up to 17 miles per hour--more than enough for most bumpy dirt trails--and can cruise for up to 10 miles on a single charge. At the same time, the bike's dual suspension and riser handlebars deliver a smooth and comfortable ride regardless of the terrain, so your teen's fun isn't restricted to flat pavement. As a final bonus, the Dirt Rocket's variable-speed, chain-driven motor is extremely quiet, a marked contrast to traditional gas-powered motocross bikes. Other details include large pneumatic knobby tires for a maximum power transfer, authentic dirt bike frame geometry, a retractable kickstand, and a double-crown fork. The MX500, which requires roughly eight hours to fully charge, is recommended for ages 14 and over and offers a maximum weight limit of 175 pounds. It's also backed by a 90-day warranty.

Excellent product, fast, fun, worth the money September 28, 2008 Jose Arevalo This product is excellent. I clocked the bike going around 16 MPH with my son (80 lbs) in it. All the neighbor kids now line up to use it pretty much every afternoon when we go out, a total of 8 kids ride it every time. The battery lasts for at least 1 to 2 hours, and the most we have been able to run it is about 5 miles total. Bike is worth the money and I am satisfied with what I got. I would like a bit more torque as the bike slows down in the grass, but still goes fast enough. There are no hills where I leave, so I can not comment how much it slows down climbing hills.
Long term driving test results September 24, 2008 John Sciarra My friends bought this mini bike over a year ago and now it is mine. We have ridden it hard. I have put on a new rear tire since we totally wore out the original. New break lever and front break disc, and a new set of batteries and controller. Over time wires will come loose and some of the plastic parts may break, but most of it is easy to fix and all the parts are available online. Mind you--it is a toy. If you are "off road" rough with it you will break it.
A MUST HAVE FOR EVERY KID!!!!!! August 30, 2008 iT ARRIVED IN RECORD TIME. Took just 5 minutes to put together and he was off and riding. A perfect gift for our 8 year old. Went just fast enough for both he and I. The charge lasts a long time and he is madly in love with it. We bought the 350 for his last birthday and were thrilled with that one, this one is much much better. a score all around.....
THE TOY OF MY SUMMER July 28, 2008 I am a 10 year old boy who just got a 500 BMX. It fantastic! All of the parts were there, and it was half built for you. Its amazing! When you twist the gas throttle it goes flying across the ground. It has a kick stand and has wonderful colors. It can also go over any terrain! It is even equiped with a number plate. It is really alot of fun!!!!
Great Bike June 9, 2008 wanabegeek We've had this bike for three years now. I bought it for my son to ride around the grassy hills in our yard. It has enough power to take my 10 year old son off road and up hill. The battery has not caused us any headaches (unlike with the Schwinn electric scooter or the Chinese-made mini ATV). I can see my son using this bike for many years to come.
